LORELEY: FOR DRINKS, FOOTBALL, OUTDOOR DINING AND (REALLY) THE COOLEST COLOGNE-STYLE BIERGARTEN IN THE LOWER EAST SIDE

  There's a certain part of Rivington Street that has been put on the map by Freemans- the barber, the clothier, and the restaurant/ bar- a hipster mini-empire.  When we found ourselves in the area with some time to kill,  the buzz we'd heard prior somehow didn't draw us in (although again, if you're a hipster, It's Mecca).  Instead, we were surprised and curious about Loreley, right across the street.  In a neighborhood where too many establishments overdo the (real or faux) dive bar thing, we liked the clean but laid-back and welcoming look of Loreley's bar- as right for wine with the girls as a hearty session while watching football there- and didn't expect t... read more>>
